MANAGEMENT PROFILES
David Lee
David Lee Meisenburg currently owns Universal Tower Services which is engaged in a wide range of wireless communication services to include multi-state project management, tower lighting maintenance and repair and site acquisition services throughout the US. Clients include Global Signal, Cingular, Sprint PCS and Crown Castle International to name of few.
Prior to starting Universal Tower Services, Mr. Meisenburg was employed by SBA Network Services to manage all compliance issues, reviewed leasing contracts and approved the construction of over a 100 towers in the Western region of the US. Mr. Meisenburg also worked for Winstar Communications as a rooftop asset manager acquiring and managing rooftops in Minneapolis and St. Paul and worked as a law clerk for US West Wireless in lease negotiations and site acquisition.
Mr. Meisenburg graduated from Southern Illinois University in 1994 and graduated from William Mitchell College of Law in 1998. While in law school, Mr. Meisenburg studied for a summer learning European Union and International Law at the University of Heidelberg through Georgetown University.
Tai Bixby
Mr. Bixby has a wide range of experience in computer sciences, industrial manufacturing and start-up companies. He has designed and built manufacturing facilities and is the Co-author of 3 patents for products and methods of manufacturing: US5,983,671 US5,972,817 US5,821,184. Since 1999 Mr. Bixby has provided planning, design, CAD drafting, map production, 3D terrain visualization, aerial photography, photogrammetry and graphic design services in support of planners, architects and developers in New Mexisco, Arizona, Maryland, Utah and Brazil.
He is the managing member of majority equity partner in Oshara Village, a 1,000 unit 480 acre real estate development in Santa Fe, New Mexico, which has received national recognition and acclaim for its integration of neighborhood living, commercial development and low environmental impact infrastructure. The goal of the development is to provide daily needs in one pedestrian friendly community. The development includes commercial, live/work units, patio homes, single-family homes, a water reclamation facility and estate homes built near the edge of a nature preserve.
Robert E. Lee
Robert E. Lee currently serves as one of the founders and the Director of Development, Acquisitions and Financing for Self Storage Partners, LP, a national self storage development and acquisition firm with relationships with various equity and debt fund investors.
Mr. Lee is also the co-founder of SING Ltd. Co. which, together with Storage USA (www.sus.com), formerly the country’s second largest storage real estate investment trust (REIT), developed and owned ten self storage facilities in various states around the country. SING’s activities were focused on the development and management of storage assets nation wide.
Since 1996, Mr. Lee has helped to develop eighteen state-of-the-art storage properties with over 1,500,000 gross square feet. Total aggregate retail value of these developed projects is approximately $140,000,000.
Mr. Lee’s primary responsibilities for Self Storage Partners, LP, include underwriting of new projects, due diligence, and entitlements. Mr. Lee has worked closely in managing all financial aspects of each transaction, including financial underwriting of the projects with debt and equity partners that include The Huntington Bank, Key Bank, Texas Capital, GE Real Estate, Prudential Real Estate Advisors and many others. Mr. Lee attended the University of New Mexico and participated in post-graduate work at the University of Wales, U.K. and the University of Texas at El Paso’s language program in Moscow.
Jason T. Trainor
In 1996, Mr. Trainor founded a regional real estate magazine publishing company. Within eighteen months the company became the dominant real estate advertising source in the region with two monthly publications as well as custom magazine development for independent clients In 1999, the company expanded to include niche marketing for the tourism industry, with this part of the business distributing almost 1 million printed advertising pieces a year. After successfully building the business, Mr. Trainor sold the magazine publishing company in 2002 and partially retired to spend time with his young son and daughter.
Prior to launching the publishing company, Mr. Trainor was a Vice President of Commercial Real Estate at a private firm located in Dallas, Texas, where he managed a $140,000,000.00 commercial real estate portfolio comprised of office, multi-family, vacant land, retail and large-scale mixed use/housing developments. His responsibilities included lease negation and execution for office and retail space, concept evaluation and oversight of phase development for mixed use/single family housing developments and vacant land site analysis.
In addition to his responsibilities in Dallas, Mr. Trainor was a member of a consulting team retained by Goldman Sachs and JP Morgan to evaluate commercial real estate portfolio acquisitions throughout the United States.
Mr. Trainor majored in Finance and International Management at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C.
